The Carnival of Venice is an annual festival held in Venice, Italy. The Carnival ends with the Christian celebration of Lent, forty days before Easter, on Shrove Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday. The festival is world famous for its elaborate masks. In this project I was the graphic designer and the creative director. I provided the costumes, concept, design and directed the photoshoot. I hand lettered portions of the type to aid in an elaborate feel. All three woman represent a different roman goddess as a way to refer back to Italy's historic roots. Goddess of the Hearth, Goddess of the Moon, and the Goddess of Passion.
