Paper Bag Assignment

For this project we had to find a paper bag, crumple it up, and then straighten it back out. Then we had to put it on a flat surface and find a set of reliable lighting- a lamp and begin sketching out the shape from different angles to find the best composition.  

I ended up with at least 6 tries on this bag and settled on this one.  I really enjoy these projects and am gradually getting over being the extreme novice of the group.  J    I didn’t really have a ton of creases in bag I used for a model but I tried to capture the few that were there and worked on expressing those creases with shading and light with my eraser.  The shade on the side of the bag was a massive task.  I’ll keep working on it!
