as an element of development of the area of horse racecourse on Służewiec

Many studs and horse breeding are located in Poland but there is none fully equipped modern veterinary clinic for those animals in my country. Construction of a center for treatment and rehabilitation for sports horses within the area of horse racecourse on Służewiec would be a perfect solution for this paradoxical situation. This center may also significantly contribut to improvement of the situation of the racing complex which has been dramatically losing popularity in last few decades. The center would contain a clinic, diagnostic laboratory, rehabilitation center, stable suitable for patients horses and a small conference center. It would be a great development for a small veterinary hospital which is located on Służewiec area.
The project consist of an urban conception of expansion of the area of horse racecoirse on Służewiec and an architectural design of six buildings of treatment center.

W Polsce znajduje się wiele stadnin i hodowli koni, jednakże nie ma w naszym kraju żadnej nowoczesnej, w pełni wyposażonej kliniki weterynaryjnej dla tych zwierząt. Budowa ośrodka leczenia i rehabilitacji koni sportowych w obrębie terenu Toru Wyścigów Konnych na Służewcu byłaby doskonałym rozwiązaniem tej paradoksalnej sytuacji. Ponadto ośrodek ów znacznie przyczyniłby się do poprawienia sytuacji tracącego na popularności kompleksu wyścigowego. Zespół budynków mieszczących klinikę, laboratorium diagnostyczne, centrum rehabilitacyjne, stajnię przystosowaną dla koni chorych i niewielkie centrum konferencyjne, stanowiłby znakomite rozwinięcie malutkiego szpitala znajdującego się na Służewcu.
Projekt składa się z urbanistycznej koncepcji rozbudowy terenu wyścigów konnych na Służewcu oraz architektonicznego projektu sześciu budynków ośrodka leczniczego.

The urban conception
One of the main objectives of this project was to increase the rank of the area of the horse racecourse on Służewiec by adjusting it to the possibility of organising a competition in all horses sports disciplines. For this purpose it was proposed to join the terrain of the racecourse with an adjacent land on which would be created an indoor riding area of the Olimpic class. In the vicinity of the hall is found to be a square for the outdoor competition with a covered grandstand and a hotel hosting the games. In order to increase the attractiveness of the site of the track it have been proposed to create a riding club with indoor riging areas and polo field in the northern part of the site and the center of the treatment and rehabilitation of horses in the southern part. Further to improve the quality of communication it was proposed an expansion of an existing parking with an underground floor and aslo an extension of a nearby tramway.
Koncepcja urbanistyczna
Jednym z głównych założeń projektu było podniesienie rangi terenu toru wyścigów konnych na Służewcu poprzez dostosowanie go do możliwości organizowania zawodów we wszystkich dyscyplinach sportów konnych. W tym celu zaproponowano połączenie terenu toru z sąsiadującą działką, na której miałaby powstać kryta ujeżdżalnia o klasie olimpijskiej. W sąsiedztwie hali znalazłby się plac do rozgrywania zawodów pod gołym niebem wraz z zadaszoną trybuną oraz hotel obsługujący zawody. Celem zwiększenia atrakcyjności terenu toru, w obrębie obiektu zaproponowano utworzenie w jego północnej części klubu jeździeckiego z krytymi ujeżdżalniami oraz boiska do gry w polo, natomiast w południowej części ośrodka leczenia i rehabilitacji koni. Dodatkowo, dla poprawy jakości komunikacji, zaproponowano rozbudowę istniejącego parkingu o kondygnację podziemną oraz przedłużenie istniejącej w pobliżu linii tramwajowej.

The architectural conception
Designed has been six buildings in which seat clinic, diagnostic laboratory, rehabilitation centre, swimming pool, stables and administrative areas and conference facilities. They have been arranged in accordance with the historic layout of the buildings as its complement in places of non-existent objects. Design and dimensions of new buildings refer to the adjacent historic buildings. All new objects have been proposed in a common aesthetic concept based on a green walls and green roofs and also elements made of yakisugi wood.
Koncepcja architektoniczna
Zaprojektowanych zostało sześć budynków mieszczących: klinikę, laboratorium diagnostyczne, centrum rehabilitacji, basen leczniczy, stajnie oraz pomieszczenia administracyjne i konferencyjne. Zostały one rozmieszczone zgodnie z historycznym układem zabudowy, jako jego uzupełnienie, w miejscach nieistniejących obecnie obiektów. Bryłą oraz gabarytami budynki nawiązują do sąsiadującej, zabytkowej zabudowy. Wszystkie obiekty zaproponowano we wspólnej koncepcji estetycznej, opartej na zielonych ścianach i dachach oraz elementach z drewna yakisugi.
