It was a one hour project. When I came to visit Sal, one of the Cabo Verde’s Islands I expected nothing but true experience. Santa Maria is a town with a great thriving  community of people located in the South. Most of them lead very ordinary life, sharing their places with tourist who come from all sorts of directions to enjoy themselves and relax. The island is known for windy conditions and great waves. I thought, one hour of exploration beyond the “line” would give me a good insight of daily life of the locals.

Mostly, I was interested in people, but the town offers much more. I liked the colonial architecture and also the influence of “modern era”. There is a sort of criss cross diversity line, and it would be very difficult to capture all that within such short period of time.

It is an inspiring place to visit!
