The dimensions of memory, 2016
video
A video, exploring what memory is. I interpreted that all memories exist in our head as two dimensional images, because past is no longer a three dimensional space where we can be in, and since the past cannot be changed. So I made the rectangular frames for each footages of my memories to be distinctive. i also thought, by recalling the past, memories will not freeze there but live in us. I put videos of daily scenes rather than provocative memories that people usually remember, in order to communicate the theme of balance and harmony in life. I also depicted the journey of memory through how the memories are coming out of each other’s trails. Some memories are distorted or edited with my imagination, as at times, our memories change as we want.
