ATC - The Tradition Continues

For this commercial for the Australian Turf Club’s annual Autumn Carnival, the agency requested the now infamous stylised, double-exposure technique, to highlight over 150 years of rich Australian Racing history and tradition by visually merging the old with the new.

Two worlds are brought together by taking modern imagery of fashion, timelapses of the racecourse, and jockeys striving for a win, and overlaying these with historic racing images of fashion, jockeys, and crowds. The archival images were projected to give them depth, and combined with a pastel colour palette and iconic images of Sydney Rosehill Gardens/Randwick racecourses.
