Logo design for local gym's junior gymnasts.

I designed several logos for the upcoming PAC convention: this was one not chosen, but I totally loved making it anyway, using the headlights for the "O's" of Ohio!

These were the 3 logos I presented to my client. He chose the first 2 to bring to the local chapter meeting (Buckeye Packard), and the vote was split evenly! So now I'm putting together an amalgamation of 1 and 2, with a simplified version for embroidery. It was especially challenging (and fun!) to place the Columbus skyline reflection in the car door and change the license plate to read "OH-IO" on logo #1. These were all made using mostly Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

I recently took on a job in an unusual way: a new author in need of an illustrator reached out via social media. He narrowed the applicants down to 13 artists and asked that each of us copy, then improve upon and improvise, a drawing he would provide. Here is a time-lapse video of my copying the sketch he provided, then adding in some more detail. I was called almost immediately, asking if i had used some sort of "computer program" to "make his drawing look like a movie had made it." I explained that, no, it was a program that recorded each of MY pencil strokes on the iPad, then put them together to make a time-lapse "movie". In reality, it took me about 45 minutes to copy the chisel drawing. I got the job.
