Gratitude is a 36" x 36" abstract acrylic painting on canvas.

I intentionally set out to set a mood in this painting and a companion painting titled Happiness. Notice there is no focal point and the composition is random. The colors in this painting are cool and contrast with the warm colors in the second painting.

Each painting could hang alone in a modern home. Hung together would be bold given the contrasting colors. Better to give them their own space in separate rooms.

I like looking at the painting, but I don’t know what it is. And that is okay. The viewer is free to interpret whether it is germs on a microscope slide or just colored circles on a canvas.
