新聞紙 ('Shinbun-ga-mi', en japonés traducido como 'Periódicos') narra la historia de Toshiko, una mujer japonesa que presencia el nacimiento del hijo ilegítimo de su empleada y cómo éste es envuelto en periódicos con total descuido por el doctor que va a su casa. Este incidente la marca profundamente y llega a la conclusión de que a este niño sólo le puede esperar una vida de miseria.
新聞紙 ('Shinbun-ga-mi', in Japanese translated as 'Newspapers') tells the story of Toshiko, a Japanese woman who witnesses the birth of her housekeeper's illegitimate child and how it is wrapped in newspapers with total carelessness by the doctor who goes to her home. This incident marks her deeply and she concludes that this child can only expect a life of misery.
Parte de este proyecto consistía en realizar un análisis semiótico de su historia para posteriormente realizar ilustraciones que formasen parte de un libro ilustrado.
