The Art of the Pixel:
This project is a reflexion on the pixel, and how we actually see things on a screen. With 4k screens becoming the new normal the question becomes "Whats next?". The human eye can only perceive so many pixels and eventually the ned for more pixels will become useless. I wanted to explore the use of minimal pixels to make a readable picture but make a squares the central building block of the portraits.
I then experimented with different colors to see what the effect extreme lighting had on the pixels.
My final experiment was with distortion of the figure to see what effect the pixels had when it came to distorting the figure using reordering.
