Gridcore
Following Ash Thorp's technique, I designed this visuals at the end of 2016. It's fun to see how the design evolves just starting from a simple grid and then add layers and layers of elements following the same grid. And then everything fits organically. Wrapping everything up in Cinema 4D with a simple camera ('flying' in a plane looking for the perfect framing), and loads of depth of field produce an amazing effect that I want to dig more in the next future.
I love how 3D can improve 2D designs. In a nutshell, I discovered that a basic knowledge in 3D software can improve exponentially 2D designs. It allows me to see the design from a new fresh perspective. For me 3D doesn't mean just modelling, lighting or texturing, it could also mean enhancing 2D projects.
