Portlandia is one of my favorite shows and I felt that creating a poster to commemorate it would be a fun way to practice and hone my skills. I wanted to highlight the gorgeous climate of the Pacific Northwest, and did so by sticking to a green color palette and marking the layout of the poster with treelines. I then illustrated Fred & Carrie on the top, with the Portland skyline in the midsection of the poster. After all was said and done, I realized it needed an extra touch and, of course, put a bird on it!
