Black Note is a diverse collective of artists and musicians. The Black Note logo had originally been created by another designer who the collective was no longer in contact with. They came to me asking for a simplified, redesign of the original that they no longer had art files for. After that was created we followed up with a simple and basic new business card design to go with the new logo. Later on the collectives talented jazz musician Anthony Thomas was also in need of packaging for his forthcoming album. For this we found inspiration in the album covers of old, Blue Note era jazz albums.
