This course explored conceptual design skills with a large emphasis on research and process. In constructing my garment, I was inspired by the organic, squiggly shapes that were beaded on Native American moccasins. These shapes informed my exploration of varying sculptural forms on the back of my garment, accumulating in a final large hood. My garment is playful and strange, yet beautiful and sophisticated.
