Mysuru Dasara is the Nadahabba (State-Festival) of the state of Karnataka in South West India.
It is also called Navaratri (Nava-ratri = nine-nights) and is a 10-day festival, celebrated with utmost pomp and gaiety in the city of Mysuru. The Dasara festivities have a very long and rich history of more than 400 years.
