This project was designed solely as a speculative piece. All brand marks and shoes are the property of Nike and no affiliation has been made between them and myself.
For this project, I had a small break in between jobs and wanted to utilize some of the new tools I was learning into a project. Inspired by the likes of Tendril and ManvsMachine, and pushed by learning more about Houdini, Mantra, and Arnold, I set out to design a few styleframes for a spec piece on the Nike Hypervenom shoes. I wanted to focus mainly on experimentation with abstract forms, quickly iterating on ideas, and developing a sense for dramatic lighting.
This was a really fun exercise to push myself a bit farther in the beginning phases a project, and Houdini provided me with a fantastic tool to quickly experiment with new ideas.
