Within this project, I experimented with molds made of different materials such as PP foil, transparent foil, foamboard, cardboard and decor foam. During the experiments, the concrete was mixed with other materials for example wax, glitter and decor sand, glass. On the other hand, I also wanted to create unconventional surfaces, as well as to paint the concrete in disparate ways. The end results of the above methods are cubes painted with ink, tempera, marbling paint and pigments, concave and convex cubes, burnt, soft, rough and glossy surfaced cubes. By the end of this project, I concluded that the known characteristics of concrete can be changed and, therefore, new material qualities and impressions arise.
ConcreteCube was exhibited in Budapest/Hungary at Budapest Design Week in October 2017 and in Munich/Germany at the Talente Exhibition in March 2017. The project also won an A'Design Award in 2017.
