This is one of my Advanced Illustrator projects. Josephine Baker was the first African American woman to become famous during segregation times. She was the first African American woman to appear on Broadway. She was passionate about equality within the U.S.A. I was very excited to create a portrait of a woman I admire. I used the pen tool and shape tool in addition to using gradients, brushes, feathering and outer glows to add magic to Mrs. Baker’s portrait.
