Film credits tribute (I).
This project belongs to the series of film credits I developed at the end of 2016. They are a tribute to some of my all-time favourite films. Part of them were filmed on a period where the credits weren't as important as they are today. It was fun to recreate them as a creative direction project. Again, the 3D is mixed with 2D photographs and design elements. Displacers, noise, blur and brushes produce a styleframe that can be shared with the rest of the production team.
The Mummy (1932)
This is my interpretation of what could be the credits for 'The Mummy' as if it were launch nowadays. I designed the styleframes with ancient egipt in mind, dusty feeling, brown colours and the embalm body texture of the mummy.
Arrebato is a cult-movie, credited as a 'cursed' film in the spanish establishment. For me one of the most underrated films in the spanish filmography, it is a magnificient piece of art, with a mix of different film rolls, textures, art directions, twisting plots and endless imagination. This is my tribute to this almost unknown film. The idea is to mix the 'Super 8' texturing, with the camera vampirism, sex, drugs and the lost childhood.
Pink Flamingos (1972)
As 'Babs' and her friends said in the film: "The filthiest people alive!". That's what I tried to implement in here. In the middle point of being disgusting and fun, I developed these styleframes to showcase the credits of this one-of-a-kind movie. With the 'low-res look' as the center of the creative line, it follows the filthiness, the sexual hubris and the raw footage as the film shows.
