"Wayne State University School of Medicine" 18"x24" poster. I created this poster as a part of Wayne State University School of Medicine branding. This poster is displayed as a wallpaper design for our internal digital signage found within the school. I was inspired by the upcoming sesquicentennial in regards to its design and used that as my approach to a unique design and typography. I have always been inspired by the turn of the century lettering and cartography while and my interest in the art noveau and De Stjil movements. My approach to the typography and layout was analytical, it was important to research and understand the visual vocabulary when creating the design. Using the WSU-SOM official university typeface, Stone Serif and the 561/1225 Pantone colors, I began to stylize the letterforms and paid close attention to detail to achieve a richly detailed work of art.
