Guardiani della 9 is a project created during a University Workshop.
We took a story and thought how to re-tell it with just one social media: Twitter.
#GD9 is a real-time conversation on Twitter, a completely new and different kind of storytelling.
The story is about 5 guardians, who are sent from the future to the past -from 2115 to 2015-, to try and change the way inhabitants see and live their neighborhood in Milan. They will try and convince the neighbors to take care of the green spaces and avoid the spread of buildings and pollution as it is in the age they live in -year 2115.
During their mission, the leader of the group will communicate to the mate in the future via Twitter.
All the tweets are planned in a lapse of time, which allows the users to live the story in real time.
The conversation is filled with images -color data, as it is called by the people from the future-; these pictures are designed in an 8-bit style because we imagined an overcrowded web, where the only way to post and send data is with a very low resolution.
