So, I had been struggling with my latest project and decided to put it on hold for a bit. I realized that I couldn’t create without understanding my creative alter ego, and began a ‘self branding’ project if you will.

I began to investigate who Xylon was, his thought processes, his origin and purpose. Have you ever had hour-long conversations with a part of yourself? His presence became so strong, as my understanding evolved, that I could even smell him at times.

It was for this reason that I decided to ‘kill’ the perception, which I haphazardly created of him. It’s a tricky one, when your portfolio consists of a hybrid of photographic and graphic design work.

I created a visual identity, which primarily, functioned like a fashion brand. Allowing the work to be showcased comfortably, without restriction as the content and project themes changed. I added visual dynamic by capturing various portraits of my creative alter ego.
