Yo soy un tipo tímido, y acercarme a una persona con una cámara, me atemoriza más que meterme a bucear bajo el mar congelado... pero todo es cuestión de respeto, un sincero interés, y una pequeña charla para explicarle qué hago. Suena fácil, y a veces lo es, pero al final, todo se reduce a sentirse confiado en lo que uno hace.
Otras veces, saco la foto primero, y después vendrá la charla, que generalmente termina con la promesa de una foto impresa que luego, pasados unos días, le llevo. A veces no los encuentro más, y ahí quedan, guardadas en un cajón, esperando un momento que rara vez llega.
I am kind of shy person, so approaching people with a camera frightens me more than going underwater, under frozen sea... but it's all about respect, genuine interest, and a small chat to let the people know about what one does. It sounds easy, and sometimes it is, but at the end, it's all about how confident are yourself with what you are doing.
Other times, I first took the picture, and then I begin to talk. This talk generally ends with my promise to get back in a few days with a print. Sometimes I don't find them anymore, and the pictures goes to a box, waiting for a moment that seldom happens.
