#ThirtyLogos Challenge

ThirtyLogos.com created a challenge to fulfil
30 design briefs (that they have created) in 30 days.
Day 1 – 'Space'
Summary: Create a logo for Space, an agency who offer flexible co-working offices for freelancers and startups.

Solution: The symbol created for Space represents a simplistic take on the partitions found in the cliche room that comes to mind when we think, "office". Here, this represents the 'partitions', or multiple businesses co-working within the environments that Space provide.

Day 2 – 'The Grind'
Summary: Create a logo for chain cafe, 'The Grind', without using brown in the logo.

Solution: Using an illustrated image of a manual coffee grinder reinforces the notion that 'The Grind' are a group of artisans, not just your average hit and miss coffee shop. Whilst a vintage feel is offered by the manual grinder, serif font and etched styling, simplicity keeps the identity fresh and modern. Burnt orange has been used to keep an earthy note about the design, while still meeting the briefs requirements of not using brown.

Day 3 – 'Twitchy Rabbit'
Summary: Developers of email platform, Twitchy Rabbit, require refinement of it's existing logo; Making it distinguishable at 50x50px.

Solution: As this was a refinement brief, not a new design, after looking at the original mascot, I felt minimal change was needed to tidy up the overall look. Twitchy Rabbit is already an established brand, operating with this design, so to scrap it and create something entirely new would damage the reputation of the current brand. I removed the body, as it did not add anything to the design, but utilised the punchy orange from the t-shirt as one of the brands primary colours. After this I made some minor changes to the head, and added a 'twitchy' font to play up the name.)

Day 4 – 'Ping'
Summary: Create a logo for growing chat platform 'Ping'. Avoid using blue.

Solution: Quotation marks have been used in place of the 'p' and 'g' to play on the fact this is a chat platform. Orange has been used as it's a colour of social communication and optimism, while also meeting the briefs requirements of avoiding blue.

Day 5 – 'Wildlife'
Summary: Create a logo for global non-profit organisation, Wildlife'.

Solution: Recreate a Zebra's stripes in the form of a 'W' (for Wildlife). The spherical form also represents Wildlife as being a global organisation.

Day 6 – '1-800-Rosebud'
Summary: Create a wordmark for online florist and gift store '1-800-Rosebud'. Must be legible at small sizes, and use warm colours.

Solution: The wordmark for 1-800-Rosebud incorporates a simple swirled rosebud, and utilises a clean font that is legible when small.
