EXHIBITION: Bullets and Bulletins: African American Activism in Civil War Era RI

The exhibition is to help commemorate Black History Month. It is the first of a four-part series that will explore how activism in Rhode Island has shaped our history and influenced national civic conversations.

This interactive poster was designed with images of petitions, one of them it's the 1865 Petition for Equal School Rights identifying the need for integrated neighborhood schools.

The concept was to create a place for visitors to engage and participate sharing how they can advocate in our community.
