建筑是人们最早所能够创造的最大结构物，为了与自然形成的环境相区分，体现人的造物之力，同时为了计算和建造的便利，最早的建筑均以规则的柏拉图体为建造单元。
本LOGO的主体回应此基础概念，由正方形、圆形和三角形三个平面化的柏拉图体相套而成，其中正方形的两角增加弧度，形成单词“Design”的首字母“D”。
整个图形和字体以红色为主色渐变色，一方面响应机构前身——北京市工业设计研究院原LOGO的颜色，一方面增加LOGO的立体质感，使老机构-新形象之间产生了连结，并更有现代特质。

Begin Design is an architectural design institution.
Architecture is the largest structure that man was capable to build at the earliest. In order to distinguish it from the natural environment, embody the power of man's creation and be convenient to calculate and build, the earliest architectures were all constructed through taking Platonic bodies as units.
As a response to this basic concept, the main body of the logo consists of three planar Platonic bodies of square, circle and triangle that are interconnected. The corners of the square have increased radians to form the first letter "D" of the word "Design".
The entire graph and character use red color as the main gradient color, which on one hand responds to color of the original logo of the predecessor Beijing Industrial Designing & Researching Institute and one the other hand adds more dimensional texture to the logo in such way that the old institution is connected to the new image and reflects more modern characteristics.
