Featured here is an infographic I designed and illustrated which visually explains Freud’s theory of dream production. It was for an excellent client of mine who is a licensed professional counselor and certified psychoanalyst. The illustration will appear in an undergraduate text book dealing with dreaming. It will also be printed and distributed to students as reference material.

I enjoy illustrating complex concepts and turning them into information that can be quickly and clearly understood. The imagery of a train loaded with raw materials entering a smokey factory not only visually implies, “train of thought”, but also goes well with Freud’s 19th century mechanistic thinking.

A requirement of this project was that I had to illustrate the infographic without color. I used shades of gray to lead the viewer's eye from beginning to end.
