Old retail versus new
A great illustration of what the future of retail represents. The client described over the phone the idea that brick and mortar retail stores are becoming antiquated. In this illustration the castle represents the old world concept of retail. No matter how much attention the retail store pays to marketing, the spotlights, the SALE banner, and a large storefront, the consumer remain outside shopping on the smart phones and tablets.
The concpets started out as a sketch, the only modifications requested by the client were that the castle look more like a big-box retail store, and a little less like the castle from my original sketch.
