Pipilotti Rist. Spear to Heaven
Exhibition catalog design, Leeum (Samsung Museum of Art), 2012
Editorial Design + Graphic Design
Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art is pleased to present Pipilotti Rist: Spear to Heaven, which is its Black Box’s second media art project. In the works of Rist, her artistic interest in the female body seen from a feminist perspective is embodied through her conventionally unrestrained provocative imagination. Her works spontaneously transverse the boundary between the illusory and the real due to her unapproachable orchestration of luminous and glaring color schemes, sensuous and enthralling images and music. Being with her entrancing works, one is invited to the ambit of contradictory emotions: light-mindedness and impishness and simultaneously melancholy and anxiety. Her coherent creative inquiries has targeted at powerful and potent visual effects and the human body. (Extracted from Leeum website)
