Another project is done and out! Working together with Wonderlust, under the direction of Ryan Rumbolt, I got to art direct and illustrate a video for Teenmentalhealth, an organisation that is changing the way Canada's youth access and receive mental health care. They wanted to explain more about their Pathway Through Care model so we got to it.

Having a beautiful storyboard done by Christine Le to begin with, I started by roughing out some ideas. Below you can see some of my favourite rough drawings:

After that I did a quick colour study throughout all the roughs to see how the colour would move from scene to scene. I always like to have all these small thumbs one beside the other to be able to have a general idea of everything:

And then was time to get the colours polished and going. I followed with that limited colour palette and played using a lot of patterns:

All the designs were then classically animated by Juan Pontaroli and all got put together in compositing by Arm Sattavorn.

I'm really happy with the final result and the beautiful story we were able to tell. For more information on the Pathway Through Care model, visit teenmentalhealth.org.
