The diachronic succession of images on food packaging, from the birth of the industrial product to the period after the introduction of marketing, is a point of departure for a critical-analytical reflection of shapes, solutions and transformations of the representation. The representation on the packaging is as a mirror of historical development, social, economic and cultural.

 

From the collection and cataloging of about 1500 images of food packaging in the last century, I designed a tool for cataloging. It is a format composed of three communication artifacts with specific functions, sorted by taxonomies. It is a visual tool, an archive and a classification methodology that facilitates the consultation of content, with the filing of the representations and visual artifacts.
