I had this plastic heart bead since I was a kid that I bought in the mountain town that my family visited every year. Eventually we couldn’t return, but somehow I always kept the bead.
The bead was made into a mold and reproduced in silver, a precious material that stands the test of time. Multiples were then created. The process can be seen as an effort to keep a memory alive, to relive it in a new way, by wearing it. The amassing of hearts led to the creation of new singular objects as well, to be held and cherished - an analogy of the accumulation of memories that become summed up by the sole place in which they had always occurred.
Earrings, bracelet, pendant. Casted sterling silver, electroformed pure silver.
