THE GULAG IN THE SEA
I want to remind all who were interned in the Gulag, the Communist re-education camps. Notably Goli Otok, the island Bald in Croatia. Today tourist destination but in the time of Tito was the Gulag in the sea, where they were interned Italian Communists also disagreed with Tito's policy, secessionist we would say today, the great mother Russia. The journalist Giacomo Scotti with his book "The Gulag in the sea" published Lint Editorials recounted the suffering of Tito antagonists, interned on the island Calva, Goli Otok.
Goli Otok was a prison camp of Titus 1948-1956 but actually closed its doors in 1988. There were 16,000 political prisoners who passed through the Bald Island, around 400 lost their lives, because of the torture, suicide or privations.
