Last year I had a proposal at the school that consisted of creating a poster to promote a movie. The choice of the film was at the discretion of the student and for the realization of the proposal, the student could resort to any technique (drawing, vectorial drawing, painting, photography, collage, etc.) since it was not based on the original poster.

The objectives were to apply pre-acquired knowledge, to understand the importance of using the grid as a way of organizing the various graphic elements, to understand typography as a fundamental element in the transmission of information and also as a structuring element, Capacity of using the digital tools and tools that would be in the process of developing the project. Finally, the artwork should demonstrate not only its correct practices but also the "whole" of the work done.

The film that I chose for the realization of my poster was the documentary film "Until the Light Takes Us" (2008). Directed and produced by Aaron Aites and Audrey Ewell, it chronicles the history, ideology and aesthetics of the Norwegian black metal of the early 1990s. Seen as a controversial movement, they are attributed to several incidents, namely desecration of sacred monuments and murders. Aaron Aites and Audrey Ewell investigate the roots of the movement from the eyes of who created it, who lived it, and who were at the center of black metal history.
