safehope is a non-profit organization that provides outreach and advocacy services to victims of domestic and sexual violence and their families. They have been in operation for nearly three decades and are highly committed to their work.
The Harvey County Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Task Force contacted us to help them with rebranding when their coverage area expanded to include Marion and McPherson counties. This brand change was the perfect opportunity to shorten their name and give them better recognition in the community.
The name safehope was selected because of the two key aspects of survivor recovery: safety and hope for the future.
While creating the logo, several decisions were made to produce a graphic that was both eye-catching and comforting. By incorporating curved lines and rounded edges, we were able to remove aggressive undertones and make the organization feel more inviting. It was also decided that the wordmark would always appear without capital letters. This was to remove any dominating characteristics from the name. The colors of the logo are DV/SA industry standards and are very balanced in the logo to show that one is not more important than the other.
