I was briefed with the challenge to design a leaflet for the newly refurbished Archbishop’s Palace and Education Garden in Southwell, Nottinghamshire. The leaflet was to act as a guide to visitors, showing them around the building and giving them historical and cultural information about it as they explore.
50,000 leaflets were printed in total. The palace is apart of the historical Southwell Minster, so I tried to follow the Minster’s existing brand and style as close as possible, bringing the information to life with the vivid green/orange colour pallette and modern typefaces. I was inspired by the Palace’s architecture, especially on the front cover where I divided the required imagery with a striking angular design.
