Ices
in the Alaskan wilds.
I was able to do some kayaking in an enclosed Alaskan bay near Valdez. A nearby glacier calves icebergs at a constant rate and during low tide we were allowed to get up close. Massive, dangerous things, but quite beautiful. The blue colors result from the gases trapped and compressed in the ice. Stunning.

Edit: A couple of people commented that the images were too saturated, and I think they were right. Although the small bergs were electric blue, on second look, saturation was too high and has been adjusted accordingly. Thank you for your comments!
