I made this cover for the book "Trout Fishing in America" by Richard Brautigan. This novel -  like patches of dreams, memories and impressions is probably the smallest of the "great novels" about America written in the twentieth century. Brautigan's America appears to the reader, not as nameless monster of steel and concrete or Allen Ginsberg's Moloch and a very personal space where there is a place for the night talking with friends, homeless and legless cripples, and melancholy monuments in quiet, sunny parks and sleepy provincial towns, where the spirit of America will feel even better than in the turbulent, swift metropolitan areas - the spirit of freedom and space, the main character is to become Richard Brotigan's stream that is rife with silver trout.
