The rootless passage :
What gives a city its identity are the man-made urban elements. As time goes by, they tend to make space their own and get filled with a social density.
In this work in progress I wish to show the importance of their role of belonging, in addition to their utility, which makes theses cities so quickly recognizable.
Trying to move these elements in other reality and changing their environement bring a feeling of dislocation and make them closer to human beings.
It reminds us of their historical and cultural heritage. No one can see them without looking at them. Also, nobody can forget how important their representation is in the city and in our lives. Inseparable of human beings who are living it, the city , in her turn, forges a part of the human kind.

Le passage Errant :
Façonnés par l’homme, les éléments urbains d’une ville lui donnent son identité. Ils s’approprient l’espace et s’imprègnent au fil du temps d’une densité sociale.
Dans ce travail en cours je souhaite montrer l’importance de leur rôle d’appartenance, outre celui d’utilitaire, qui fait qu’elle devient si vite reconnaissable.
Les déplacer dans une autre réalité ou transformer leur environnement, apporte un sentiment de déracinement et renforce ce lien à l’homme. Cela nous rappelle leur caractère historique et culturel. On ne peut les voir sans les regarder et oublier le rôle important de représentation qu’ils jouent non seulement dans leur ville mais dans nos vies. Indissociable de l’être humain qui y réside, la ville, à son tour forge une certaine part de l’homme.
