The Brand was founded by Chinese artist and designer Jiang Qiong-Er in 2008 and is an independent brand under the Paris-based Hermes Group.
The Shang Xia brand was an experiment by the Hermes, Paris group on “affordable luxury” based on Contemporary Chinese, simple clean lines, a low profile look from the inside and a splendid appearance from the outside.
No Bold colors, no big patterns, no obvious Chinese Elements.
They use raw materials and craftsmanship along with devoted passion amongst its workers to bring about the splendid look.
Context Analysis
The Brand was founded with the aim to Transform Chinese Aesthetics into contemporary products , offering items ranging from Zitan furniture and felt garments to jade jewelry.
