Story: For this series, three different kinds of breakfasts are illustrated. My cultural and ethnic background inspired the three breakfasts: German, American and Japanese, combined with my love for food. Each of the illustration’s color palette, style, and composition is inspired by the country’s distinctive art styles. The German breakfast is inspired by German Expressionism, the American breakfast is inspired by Pop Art, and the Japanese breakfast is inspired by ukiyo-e woodblock prints.
