Story behind Scottie's backyard

Hey, I’m Scottie-the most famous, lovable, knowledgeable dog in this university. I mean, how else could I be the favorite mascot in this league of elite? Humans probably know me from my Scottish accent. Well, I did travel a long way with my grand-grand father to here, and that probably is the best decision we can possibly make! Human here create a backyard for us. Everything we love is here, and they never cease to surprise us.

Every morning, I wake up in my lovely kennel, and I see brand new statues of me painted by my worshipers. Some of them are not bad really. I walk around, there always are early birds reading books in the swings and I sometimes just cuddle around them. When morning classes are over, my brother upstairs usually gets busy. Those undergraduates love to play virtual football with him. But never interrupted him when Pirate game is on, just sit and watch and cheer with the crowds will be a good idea. Oh, I almost forget my favorite part! The ramp! Every time you walk on it, you create a funny sound and make music of it. Those talent kids in drama school always surprise me with their flash mobs.

Did I mention how nice when the nightfall? Well, that’s the time when arts meet technology. The starry sky, the deep blue ocean, they are all here and I can hardly describe how amazing it is with the live music playing by the talent students here.

In the weekends, people walks with their dogs and sometimes we play frisbees together. Sometimes, they bring new friends and their family, and I would love to show them around the campus and tell them the proud history.

I’m the Scottie. One member of this lovely family, this is our university, this is our backyard, and this is the dreamland for me to live.
