This children's book is a response to the deepening child refugee and migrant crisis. I want you the reader to be made aware of the treacherous journey children and specifically unaccompanied children make by sea or land into Europe. These children are being detained in inhumane conditions for extended periods of time. These children are fleeing bombs and bullets in war zones like Syria, only to end up stranded and living in desperate conditions which lack the right of protection, information and services of which the so desperately need.
This book has taken quotes from children who are currently 'On The Move,' I have used children's handwriting to emphasise their experiences, to raise awareness and support these children alongside charity Save The Children. This could be seen on counters in Waterstones and W H Smiths, so you can pick up and quickly look over what is currently happening to these children.
