I was honoured to be invited to submit an illustration for Essie Letterpress's annual 'Artist's Almanac' for 2017, along with 12 other talented South African artists, illustrators and designers. My given month was December, which (in South Africa) means a fun beach summer holiday, thus the 'beached' mermaid.
