Poetry In Motion
This project was competed under the tuition of Clare Bell, second year Visual Communication Design. The brief was to create a poster design for Poetry Ireland promoting poetry readings of the poet Robert Frost. I chose the poem Acquainted With The Night, which manifests a restless mind wandering the city at night. The design references
1920's American city typography, as Frost would have seen at the time of writing. I used analogue scanning techniques to distort the type, injecting life and movement, creating a design which connotes the city.
