Yoga Room Mural

Through conversation with Kathleen Shea the yoga coordinator of BKB OG and the rest of our team, I have prepared this design for the mural in Adobe Photoshop. The goal was to place the image in a flow of muted colors picked from the reference colors I was given in the image above. I avoided the classic ideas that come to mind at first when you think of a yoga studio mural such as the deities, om symbols or images of the chakras. Koi fish are flowing by nature and they have many beautiful features to show off. There is a mantra embedded in the image that goes like this: Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu. Translation: “May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all”. – translation by Sharon Gannon Jivamukti Yoga.
