This cart is designed to help rehabilitate the urban unemployed who collect and return discarded beverage containers to recycling companies such as Recology. Under this program, a cart is rented out to these people, to make collection of plastic bottles and aluminum cans more ergonomic. This makes it easier for them to transport large volumes of trash, and effectively increase their income.
