Overview:
Fly-By is an airport-based app that serves as an informative, social gaming experience. Layover time becomes an opportunity to utilize the app, which allows users to track ordinary items and events in airports for points that connect to existing social media such as FourSquare, Facebook, and Twitter.
Challenge:
The challenge was to create a location-based app based on a particular user profile; research of this profile prompted development of a travel service that is both functional and entertaining.
Solution:
The resulting app, Fly-By, uses textures, colors and shapes that are reminiscent of flying motifs. It integrates maps and other useful information into the game system so that users can pick up information without realizing it, ultimately becoming more familiar and comfortable with the flying experience itself.
