繁忙的生活中，人們已經習慣城市的快節奏。步調常常快到忽略周遭許多美好事物。我們希望藉由設計讓人們能慢下腳步，放大時間和空間。細細體會身邊每個美麗的細節。

 「械生」 為一盞機械立燈，每個關節皆可收折與展開，透過鋼索由馬達拉動。因摩擦力和扭力而在動態上產生些微差異，堆疊出彷彿有生命的機械植株。

機構不刻意遮掩，能直接觀察零件彼此的接合與運作，更拉近了人與械生的距離。

關節展開的動態取自時鐘指針的運轉，象徵時間的流動。而展開的動態又猶如植物的生長，彷彿濃縮其一生的光陰濃縮於這個瞬間。

兩種時間的意涵同時展現，象徵片刻與永恆。瞬間倏忽即逝，卻也滄海桑田，差異僅在於心的感受。

Nowadays people have been used to the fast-paced life in downtown, where everything around us is too fast to enjoy. We want to slow down the pace of life in the city via design, emphasizing time perception of human to savor every beautiful detail around us.

Machinemotion is a mechanical floor lamp. Every branches can be folded and extended by the motors through the wire rope. The little difference between the friction of every joints makes Machinemotion moves like it is alive.

The structure is not covered so that one can observe the operation of every parts of Machinemotion, drawing the gap between life and machine.

We take the motion of pendulum as the element of the rising branches, symbolizing flow of time. When switching on Machinemotion, it is like the growth of plant whose life of time is condensed in this moment.

Two meanings of time, instant and permanent, shows at the same moment. The difference only depends on your feeling. Instant is permanent, and vise versa.

有人靠近時，  「械生」 會收起枝葉，隱藏自己。只有在周遭沒有人察覺，才會悄悄再度展開。見過械生展開的人，都是幸運且用心生活的人們。 一如人們無法察覺植物緩慢的生長，只有花開葉落才會驚覺時間流逝。械生就像是這個過程的寫照，告訴人們每一刻都是美麗而珍貴的，俯仰皆是寶藏，正等著你放慢腳步細細品味。

Machinemotion folds its branches and hides itself when someone draw near. Only when there is nobody around will it extend again. It is a blessing and fortune to see Machinemotion blossom. Human can hardly observe the slow growth of plants. Not until the flowers wither will we notice the elapse of time. Machinemotion is the portrayal of the time. Every instant in our life is worthy to taste and enjoy.
