The figure is taken from my "Let It Snow" video card, and I added the background with snow design elements. The golden frame was tricky, but I found a way to make it look good and like an open window, where the figure would be within it but also sticking out. What I love about this card (and the customer liked, too) is the contrast between the snowy scene and the "warm wishes." You can almost feel the desire to reach shelter and get out of the snow storm.
Instead of using a previous cover photo for Facebook for this year's holiday season, I made a new one. I almost used light blue for the wintry color theme...but I usually use blue, so I decided to switch to the pale purple. I like the warm and soft feel of it, like it's still winter, but it isn't as "chilly" as a blue color scheme.
The dog, scarf, trees, and snow are from different design element packages, and this is just my composition.
Likewise with the cover photo, I made a new Facebook avatar for this season. The swirls were fun to draw and give this a magical look. The biggest struggle for me was the bokeh: how to make it look natural, yet enchanting. (The bokeh also took the longest to finalize.) However, I'm happy with how it came out.
